A Cornish plugin, and proud of it
Made in Cornwall. Powered by pasties and breakbeats.
Superweapon Audio is a tiny operation at the far end of Cornwall: one desk, far too many drum breaks and a kettle that never gets a rest. Drum Unmixer was dreamt up, built and tested here, where the sea is loud, the signal is patchy and there's always been plenty of room to make strange noises.
Cornwall has a bit of a habit with this sort of thing. Aphex Twin grew up in Lanner and played free parties in coastal coves and at Gwennap Pit, an old open-air preaching pit that hardly expected acid. Luke Vibert was born in Redruth and named his Kerrier District project after a corner of the county. And Rephlex Records, home of braindance, was founded right here in 1991. Must be something in the pasties.
To be clear, we've never met any of them. We just make our tools on the same lump of granite and hope some of it rubs off.
